The Gap

Bea's top front teeth are coming in and lo and behold, she has a very healthy gap in between. We attribute this to her grandparents as Nana, Papa and Oma all have some form of a gap too. Thanks a lot! Posted by Picasa

potty-mouth

Emma's learning how to go on the potty so we thought we'd try out the ones up on the campus of UD. Annie was in the stall with her and after giving it the old college try, Emma took a brief inventory of her environment and asked, "What is this place?"

a bedtime conversation

Dad: “Emma, let’s talk about Bea. What do you like about her?”
Emma: “Bea’s my best friend.” (So are dad and mom.)
Dad: “Is Bea cute?”
Emma: “Yeah, she’s cute.”
Dad: “Is she fun?”
Emma: “Yeah.”
Dad: “Is Bea nice?”
Emma: “Yes, she’s beautiful. She’s actually beautiful.”

Annie's friend Natali came to visit and we went to the zoo in her honor. The following are some of our favorite moments. Posted by Picasa

Spare the details, please.

At the dinner table this evening dad was trying to tell Emma about the errands he had run this afternoon. First, he told her about his trip to the bookstore. Then he proceeded to tell her about his visit to and purchases at the auto store. He told her about the windshield wipers and the air filter he had acquired. When he got to the part about the radiator fluid, however, Emma had to interject: “Huh? What are you talking about?” One purchase dad made this afternoon, however, did manage to catch Emma’s attention-—her very own bouquet of Carnations. Posted by Picasa
