At the dinner table this evening dad was trying to tell Emma about the errands he had run this afternoon. First, he told her about his trip to the bookstore. Then he proceeded to tell her about his visit to and purchases at the auto store. He told her about the windshield wipers and the air filter he had acquired. When he got to the part about the radiator fluid, however, Emma had to interject: “Huh? What are you talking about?” One purchase dad made this afternoon, however, did manage to catch Emma’s attention-—her very own bouquet of Carnations.
